According to Whale Alert, the San Francisco-based blockchain giant has returned 60 percent of the 1 billion XRP that was launched into escrow. Ripple has also sent ninety million XRP to ODL corridors in various parts of the world.

After withdrawing 1 billion XRP tokens from the escrow account on October 1, Ripple took back 600 million of that amount and closed it. Typically, larger amounts of cryptocurrencies are returned to escrow after 1 billion XRP is issued – 800 million to 900 million on average.

The Whale Alert team also shared that in the last sixteen hours, Ripple has transferred 90 million XRP – equivalent to $91,597,908.
40 million XRP has been moved to one of Ripple’s RL18-VN alternative wallets. 50 million XRP was sent in four transactions to Ripple’s ODL corridors in Mexico, Luxembourg and the Philippines – Bitso, Coins.ph and Bitstamp – from Ripple’s RL18-VN and RL43-EE addresses.
