GNO City is developing an open metaverse where players can own land and roam the city to capture characters. The project already features a playable trading card game developed on the WAX blockchain, and the NFTs can be accessed on AtomicHub.
If you are not familiar with the genre, digital collectible card games are a huge business these days. Some brands, such as Hearthstone from Blizzard Entertainment, have reported reaching over 100 million players and have a thriving esports scene. The industry generates a total revenue of $2 billion annually from the sale of cards to players, but the latter cannot earn much of it unless they reach the level of a popular eSport superstar.
The introduction of NFTs into this type allows all players and card collectors to get more from trading their cards or earn tokens. And while many projects are still in the development stage, GNO City can now be played on GNOcity.io. GNO City provides players with modern technology and a nostalgic feeling in their trading cards. Brings back old memories of playing Pokémon trading cards with new concepts of being able to breed your NFTs in Series 2 with higher evolution.
GNO City includes a number of game modes: battle (1v1 PVP), racing and story. You can earn GNOKEN token By playing PVP and racing modes, you can buy NFTs for characters using tokens earned in the GNOKEN Store. In the story mode, you will be rewarded for collecting some NFTs.
NFT characters are upgraded with skills. You can gain experience by winning PvP, Races, and Story modes. Each character has a max level depending on the rarity of the NFT. You can also get a pet from the complex chain and bet it for hourly experience so you can level up your NFTs without a fight.
In PVP, you assign your character’s NFT lineup into 5 slots. You may lose energy as a trainer if you fight too much in the day, but you can boost your energy by having an Energy Refill NFT or waiting every hour you get a maximum of 20 Energy at 100. Your character’s NFT treatment can be done with 1 freebie per deck slot every 24 hours or you can feed your characters some food.
Breed your gnomes – You can develop your gnome to the second series by getting eggs. You can get eggs by placing the selected character and earn eggs. Each card in the Gnome Series is able to earn eggs per hour.
As an online multiplayer game, GNO City also includes Achievements and Leaderboards. Players can claim an achievement if they reach a standard with the NFT (You can only claim a one-time achievement on the NFT, so choose wisely). And if you climb the ranks, you will be able to see your character on the leaderboards.
