HIVE Blockchain Technologies today announced that Diana Biggs, CEO of Valor and the new CEO of Strategy at DeFi Technologies, has joined the Board of Directors of HIVE Blockchain Switzerland AG. According to the company, Biggs will join Johanna Thornblad on the HIVE Switzerland board of directors.
In an official announcement, HIVE stated that Biggs’ extensive experience will support the company’s growth. HIVE recently published its quarterly results and announced significant growth in revenue and net income.
Biggs has a strong presence in the global financial sector. Prior to joining Valor, she worked as Global Head of Innovation in Private Banking at HSBC. Previous roles at Biggs include Vice President, Head of Growth and Partnerships at Uphold, Head of Strategy at Soko, and Management Consultant at Oliver Wyman Financial Services.

About Diana Biggs
In the latest announcement, HIVE highlighted Biggs’ extensive experience in the digital asset ecosystem. She was appointed CEO of Valor, a division of DeFi Technologies in November 2020. Valor provides various services to facilitate investors including exchange-traded products. Valor currently offers ETNs in Europe that allow investors exposure to digital assets including Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Ethereum (ETH), Polkadot (DOT), and Bitcoin (BTC). In September, Valor exceeded $200 million in assets under management, up 2,000% in 2021,” HIV stated.
Biggs is also an associate fellow at the University of Oxford’s Said Business School, where she lectures as a guest on digital assets and blockchain technology. Commenting on the appointment, Biggs said: “I am excited to further our partnership with HIVE, while working closely with Joanna on future opportunities in the DeFi space.”
