Zenfinex takes on a new global marketing director
Zenfinex has strengthened its marketing team with the hiring of Maria Meramveliotaki as the new Global Marketing Manager.
Meramveliotaki joined the London-based brokerage from TopFX, where she was head of marketing. She left TopFX after spending about six years with the broker.
The appointment was made as Zenfinex aggressively expands by expanding its global presence. Last November, the broker obtained a license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), adding to its existing authorization in the UK, Seychelles and Sierra Leone. Additionally, it made a few key hires during the departure of its CEO from MENA.
Departure of Trading 212 Chief Compliance Officer
Darren Dale, group compliance director at Trading 212, only left after nine months of joining the brokerage.
Dale is a seasoned compliance expert, bringing approximately 17 years of industry experience to his new role. He joined Trading 212 last September from the London office of ADSS, where he was Head of Compliance and MLRO for four years. Additionally, he spent five months at FXCM as Deputy Head of Compliance for UK and EU, and a few years at Cornhill Capital as Group Head of Compliance. Additionally, he was Head of Compliance at London-based City Credit Capital for seven months.
Compliance: Interactive Brokers uses SVB Exec; Amana leaves for Xenfin
Two financial industry executives have found new homes at Interactive Brokers and Xenfin Capital. Beth Beam, former senior director of sanctions compliance at failed US bank Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), has joined Interactive Brokers as global head of sanctions compliance. On the other hand, Patrick Lindsay left the position of Director and Head of Compliance at Amana Financial Services UK to join electronic forex market maker, Xenfin Capital, as Chief Compliance Officer.
The two executives announced their new appointments via LinkedIn. While Beam joined the popular US electronic trading platform after nearly seven years at SVB, Lindsay left Amana Capital’s UK arm after just over five years. However, both parties bring decades of experience to their roles, with the former boasting about two decades and the latter over three decades.

Nandik Barbhaiya joins The Portfolio Platform as CMO
Nandik Barbhaiya has joined The Portfolio Platform, based in London, as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He joined the new company after spending eleven months at Moneyfarm as interim CMO.
The wallet platform offers a subscription-based service, allowing retail traders to copy the trading strategies of other expert traders. However, the platform executes traders on other brokerage platforms.

Tap Global appoints new CEO
Tap Global Group Plc (AQSE:TAP) has announced the appointment of Kriyakant Patel as its new CEO, effective June 12.
Patel is an experienced fintech executive who has previously held leadership positions at numerous companies. Most recently he was CEO of Transact Payments Limited after spending years as COO at Newcastle Card Solutions, a member of the Payments Association Advisory Council and Chairman of the Gibraltar E-Money Association.
“Tap has continued its impressive growth through the various challenges of the broader crypto environment and is, in my view, uniquely positioned to benefit from significant opportunities in European markets and beyond by focusing on a need for customer-focused product, while maintaining its regulatory and safety-first approach,” Patel said.
Oval Money’s Daniel Gladding Joins eToro as Chief Risk Officer
Daniel Gladding, group risk director at Oval Money, has joined eToro in the same role. Gladding on Tuesday announced his appointment to the UK branch of the Israeli social commerce network via LinkedIn.
The senior executive is the latest former Oval Money and OvalX staff to take on new roles at other trading firms after the brokerage went out of business in March and sold its client books to rival Capital.com. Gladding brings nearly two decades of experience to the new role at eToro.

XS.com continued its hiring spree with the latest addition of Wael Hammad as Chief Commercial Officer.
Hammad brings over a decade of industry experience to the new roles and has already worked extensively in Middle Eastern-centric roles. At XS.com, he is responsible for driving the company’s revenue growth globally by developing and implementing business strategies. He will oversee revenue generating activities including sales.
