Rosie Rios chooses XRP over other cryptocurrencies, but there is a problem
Former US Treasury Secretary Rosie Rios recently wrote some words of praise for the utility of XRP.
In its tweet, Rios claims that Ripple’s digital currency is used for cross-border payments, which it believes sets it apart from other coins that are primarily useful for speculation.
The former treasurer, whose name is imprinted on billions of US dollar banknotes, believes that the toughest ban on cryptocurrencies in China to date is somehow supposed to highlight the difference.

Of course, Rios’ words should be taken with a pinch of salt given that she is currently on Ripple’s payroll.
As reported by U.Today, the San Francisco-based company added it to its board of directors in early May.
Jesse Powell, CEO of Kraken, took a quick look at Rios and Ripple in response to the recent efforts to promote XRP:
If you are wondering where some of these politicians got their ideas. We’re not all on the same team, and we don’t all have the same goals. do not forget it.
In March, Powell saw that XRP was starting to pose a “huge asymmetric risk” to exchanges after the US Securities and Exchange Commission filed a lawsuit against Ripple last December.
