XRP Ledger is set to benefit from further improvements, with the “fixReducedOffersV1” amendment now enabled on mainnet.
Changing the XRP Ledger process only allows protocol changes after two weeks of support from more than 80% of validators, a requirement that was met by this amendment.
The “fixReducedOffersV1” amendment, now active on XRP Ledger, is expected to improve order book efficiency. This update improves rounding of discounted offers, which benefits XRPL users.
“FixReducedOffersV1” adjusts rounding to prevent order books from being blocked by reduced offers whose exchange rate is changed by rounding the remaining amounts.
The exchange rate for a reduced offer is rounded with this change so that it is as good as or better than the original offer (from the taker’s perspective). This allows the reduced supply to be devoured by offers matching the full original quantities.
The “fixNFTokenRemint” amendment, which adds a new field, FirstNFTSequence, to prevent reminting, received a majority and entered a 14-day activation countdown period, as previously reported. If more than 80% of validator support is obtained within two weeks, this amendment can also be triggered on mainnet.
Over the past week, XRP Ledger received two new proposals: “XLS-49d: Multiple Signer Lists,” which would allow support for multiple signer lists per account, and “0051 XLS-51d: NFToken Escrows,” which proposes a minor change. to accommodate NFT deposits. Indeed, XRP Ledger currently only allows deposits for one type of token: XRP.
In a positive step, the number of NFTs issued on XRP Ledger reached 4,693,294, according to data from Bithomp.
