This new achievement represents the latest step in the organization’s unwavering commitment to improving security standards in the blockchain services industry. Additionally, the platform has obtained new ISO certificates for its operations in four important jurisdictions.
Binance (BNB) Obtains System and Organizational Controls (SOC) Audit
According to its official announcement, Binance (BNB), the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange ecosystem, concludes System and Organizational Controls (SOC) 2 Type II Compliance Audit Procedure for its global platform and its technological services. The rigorous safety audit was successfully completed, the statement said.
Conducted by highly regarded third-party security provider A-LIGN, the SOC 2® Type II audit was conducted by Binance following a comprehensive, multi-month assessment of the organization’s controls and practices in two areas: system protection and data security.
Such audits are of paramount importance to Binance (BNB); As a custodian of user assets and data, Binance (BNB) requires the strongest security protocols to protect its customers’ resources.
Jimmy Su, Chief Security Officer at Binance, emphasizes that the recent audit is another impressive step in its cybersecurity roadmap, but that the processes will be improved again and again:
Although the crypto industry has grown and matured over the past few years, there remain gaps in understanding and perception. Collective efforts from industry players are required to bring about change and Binance, as a market leader, recognizes that it must be at the forefront of these efforts. That’s why we’ve dedicated significant resources and effort to demonstrate that crypto platforms are capable of meeting, or even exceeding, the strict standards of traditional regulated industries. The SOC 2 Type II audit is the latest example, but it will not be the last.
As previously reported by U.Today, Binance (BNB) has entered into the industry’s first tri-party cryptocurrency agreement to improve the level of services for entrepreneurs and B2B customers.
Binance (BNB) obtains new ISO certificates
In 2023, Binance (BNB) expanded its security certification strategy. Notably, it has obtained ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications for information security governance and confidential information management in four jurisdictions: France, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Turkey.
It also completed the less stringent SOC 2 Type I audit, the precursor to the audit announced today, earlier in March.
These accreditations were achieved through the efforts of Binance’s Security Governance Unit and have changed the narrative in the security segment of the global CEX scene.
