Bitcoin surpassed the $53,000 level for the first time since December 4, 2021. and currently sits around $53,538 at press time.
Ethereum is also up on the day, surpassing $3,150, a 4% increase from the intraday low. However, the strength of the Bitcoin-led rally is visible in the ETH-BTC ratio, down 2.11%.
After a weekend of relatively stable prices, trading volume across the sector increased significantly. Bitcoin (30.9%), Tether (35.7%), BNB Chain (48.6%), Solana (45.7%), and Staked ETH (29.1%) lead, with Ethereum rising more modest 15.4%.
