From the start, user experience has always been at the heart of what StormGain does. We wanted to create a cryptocurrency trading platform that everyone could access. This meant designing an interface that displayed a lot of information in a way that was easy to understand – and here’s why – it’s easy to read on a smartphone screen!
This is not an easy task, so we are really proud of what we were able to achieve with the platform design. Try it and you will see. You have different charts and analytical tools, trading signals, order book, price information, portfolios and more, all at your fingertips. It took a lot of long hours, brainstorming sessions, tests and various iterations, but we are really proud of what we built. Even in the early days, user reviews always praised how easy it is to use StormGain compared to the competitors, and since then, we’ve only improved it.
The most fun part of the job is trying to think of new features, like introducing new tools, a way to improve the interface, or tweaking the economic model that saves our users more money. We are always looking to keep our finger on the pulse of new trends and incorporate them into our new features. We look at industry thought leaders, customer feedback, and what the competition is up to, and think about how to make StormGain even better. The best times are when a new feature fulfills a customer’s needs they didn’t even know they missed, and then they’d never go without it!

Customers don’t know it, but they see our work all the time without really noticing. A colleague described us as the beating heart of the company. This is because we work in shifts 24/7 to ensure that there are no errors with the price you see on the screen, the price of the trading instrument or the behavior of the trading instrument and that the platform continues to operate quickly and smoothly. The cryptocurrency market is fast paced, with a lot of significant changes from moment to moment. The last thing anyone wants is to lose because the app freezes or crashes or something else, so we always watch and check it out. To the user, it always “just works”, but that’s because we work hard!
Since our customers are located in all kinds of different countries and time zones, sometimes everyone on the team has to work at night. The light is on in the offices of StormGain! It can become very intense because other sections sleep at home. I remember during one night shift, when I was completely new to the company, I noticed a slowdown on the platform and knew I was going to have to fix it myself! But fortunately, we got a lot of training and mentorship when we joined this department, so I was able to handle it quickly without waking up any colleagues!

StormGain is unlike any other crypto exchange, and our job is to spread the word about it. We want to get people excited, so it’s exciting work for us too! We have these great sporting partnerships, and as a football fan it has been a dream come true to meet players from SS Lazio and Newcastle United and see the pitch in our business meetings. But as a marketer, you better see the faces of the lucky customers who win our contests and get VIP tours and match tickets.
Football is important to us because the aspects of winning through perseverance and luck, as well as the spirit of the fan community, are the same values we have as a company, and we want to share that with our customers. Another great aspect of the job is educating people about what makes StormGain different, and dare I say better, from the competitors.
For example, we have a really innovative profit-sharing model, where StormGain takes a fee only on profitable trades. There is also a Bitcoin Cloud Miner which gives free Bitcoin to users whenever they trade. The idea for this came when we did a promotion on holidays that gave away free bitcoins. It has generated a lot of interest among our customer base because it turns out that people love the free stuff. Who knows?! So, to keep that energy going, we thought of a way we could give back to our community that rewards long-term engagement and that everyone has access to. Now anyone who uses StormGain can get free Bitcoin, and it rewards active traders with a faster mining rate.
We have a lot of great perks like this, and most people looking for a platform may not know what a big difference they can make in terms of profitability. So we work with writers, video makers, editors and translators to get the word out. And based on all the new users we get every day, we’re glad to hear the message!

StormGain is designed to be easy to use, and automate as much as possible. But we cannot forget the need for human contact. In fact, it is often the most important part of what we do! There will always be people with questions about how things work. They might have a hard time doing something they want on the platform, and that’s where we come in. We understand how important money – in any asset – is to a customer, so we are always committed to finding a solution for them. As we are the first point of contact for most of our users, we get to know them very well, get to know their ambitions, what they want to do with their earnings etc. We’re also the ones who learn something that users want and that the product team hasn’t thought of, so we pass that on to our designers.
Since we have clients all over the world, one of the great things about the team is getting to know all of our different language speakers. Of course, most of us can speak English, but we also have native speakers of Russian, Spanish and German, the list goes on! The entire company is quite multicultural, but this is the section where you see it most.
The hardest part of the job is the explosive growth lately, as there are more and more clients. And it is true that sometimes they need to wait a little longer for a response. This is because every call to StormGain is answered by a real person on the team who has already looked at the issue in detail. No copy and paste or automatic responses. This is just a waste of people’s time.
The funny thing about customer service is that you often start talking to customers who are really in a bad mood, but you can turn them into your best friend. One of the situations I will always remember, a client had trouble withdrawing some cryptocurrency he wanted to use to buy a wedding ring – as you can imagine, this is a really emotional situation! Of course, I worked this out for him and got to know the story, and in the end, he was so happy I got a wedding invitation and a promise that he would name his first child after me – I’m still waiting to hear about it!

I’m always asked to make statements for interviews, but this time, it’s really nice to sit back and let the different team members talk about themselves and their experiences. The different departments all know each other and work closely together, and a lot of great friendships have been made at work. I’m really proud of the team we brought together at StormGain. It’s a big family of nerds, and the product is our baby we all work together to raise and nurture with love.
