Non-fungible Token Assets (NFT) have taken the world by storm in 2021, with three current projects in the NFT world seeing billions in sales. Statistics show that the NFT Opensea market, the NFT Axie Infinity blockchain game, and the digital collectible Cryptopunks chain have collectively commanded over $10 billion in sales.
Opensea, Axie Infinity and Cryptopunks break $10 billion in sales
Heading into the end of September, combined sales of three distinct NFT projects have generated more than $10 billion at all times. All three projects are also unique, given that the leading NFT sales company, Opensea, is a marketplace that allows users to buy and sell a variety of NFT holdings from the Ethereum and Polygon networks.
So far, Opensea has seen $6.85 billion in total sales among 452,319 traders, according to dappradar.com’s NFT market stats. Opensea saw a monthly increase of 74.26% as it generated $3.78 billion in sales over the past 30 days.
The blockchain that benefits from a few tokens and NFTs, Axie Infinity, crossed $2 billion this week as the project saw total sales of $2.17 billion at all times among 640,376 traders. Axie Infinity monthly records show that the game saw NFT sales of $574 million, down 33.79% over the next 30 days.
Finally, an NFT group called Cryptopunks is also a billion dollar NFT venture with $1.33 billion in sales today. There are a total of 10,000 Cryptopunks and according to Dune Analytics, there are 2,980 unique owners (titles) that own Cryptopunk NFT. One entity owns approximately 254 or 2.54% of the entire Cryptopunks NFT pool.
Of the $1.33 billion in sales, 4,948 traders were counted by dappradar.com metrics. So far, the projects of Opensea, Axie Infinity and Cryptopunk have seen total sales of $10.35 billion.
Records from dune.xyz also indicate that among the assortment of Ethereum-based NFT projects, there were $8.53 billion, or 3,100960 Ether, in sales. Listed NFT projects include Cryptopunks, Art Blocks, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Rarible, Meebits, Loot and Superrare. It was $8.53 billion across 4,471,826 transactions and there are 6,385 NFT projects on Ethereum.
