Are you tired and/or battered enough by the COVID lockdowns, vitriol, and confusion that came with it? Are you ready to get back to some semblance of nature? Well, you may not have that luxury as it looks like we may be entering another pandemic. A cyber pandemic designed by the World Economic Forum and its associates.
As most of you are probably aware that Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have faced global turmoil today that has made the services completely inaccessible. So inaccessible that Facebook employees couldn’t even get to the company’s headquarters as Badgers’ access wasn’t working.
These disturbances can be added to the list of disturbances that started with the frequently reported ransomware attacks targeting critical infrastructure earlier this year. Who knows what will surface postmortem in today’s events, but Uncle Martí’s crazy antennas flutter in the air as a cyber epidemic appears to have aptly predicted and the war that parasites played at the World Economic Forum earlier this summer appears to be paying off.
Be on the lookout for this growing combo going forward. It will be used as another reason why citizens around the world need to give up more liberties and hand them over to the kleptocratic elite that has our “best interests at heart”. This might sound conspiratorial at the moment, but I wouldn’t be too surprised when the ghouls who control the world’s governments and banks start banging this drum so loudly.
When they do, be sure to push as hard as possible against their attempts to tighten their grip on controlling your life a little bit more. Start diversifying your tech pool away from the massive tech giants that will be “targeted” throughout the cyber epidemic and toward more powerful, distributed applications. This is a good list From our friend LaserHodl.
This is not directly related to the cyber epidemic, but it is something you should be aware of. Just a few days ago, Coinbase notified the world that 6000 of its users had their SIM swapped and their accounts drained earlier this year in a sophisticated phishing attack. This is another reminder that you should eliminate the risks that come with storing your bitcoins to a third-party custodian by having full control over your private keys and keeping them offline in cold storage. Cold storage requires heavy ownership but is something that every individual who owns bitcoin should strive for. In fact, you don’t really own Bitcoin until you take possession of your UTXOs. You only have a claim to Bitcoin until you control your private keys.
It’s a scary world out there. Prepare accordingly.
“We must sanitize the internet against the looming specter of a cyber epidemic. It’s time to associate your ID with your IP address.”
…soon to a dystopia near you.
