Users can now earn bitcoin rewards at participating merchants without needing to activate offers or use a gift card.
The Bitcoin Company, a bitcoin rewards company, has launched a new feature called Card Linked Offers (CLO) that allows users to turn all their credit and debit cards into bitcoin rewards cards. This feature will allow users to automatically earn bitcoins on their card purchases when they shop at eligible merchants such as Allbirds, Peet’s Coffee, Circle K, Gap, PetSmart, etc. CLO functionality is only available in the US to begin with, though the company plans to expand the list of eligible countries and merchants over time.
According to The Bitcoin Company, users can easily link their cards once through Plaid in the TBC app to set up CLOs. From there, they can redeem bitcoins whenever they shop in-store or online from eligible merchants without having to activate offers before shopping. Additionally, users can increase their rewards by linking their existing debit and credit cards as an in-app payment method to purchase gift cards and stack them with online store affiliate cashback offers.
“We are here to make life on a bitcoin standard the standard!” said the Bitcoin Company. The company also plans to release a web app version of its mobile app for even more privacy in the future, and the beta version of the web app will be live in about two weeks. In addition, the company plans to introduce more reward-earning features in the near future, including online shopping programs with cashback, phone recharges, and travel offers that allow users to earn up to 30 % bitcoins when booking hotels through The Bitcoin Company app.

The Bitcoin Company has partnered with Plaid, Kard, and Very Good Security for Open Banking, Merchant Funded Offers, and PCI Compliance, respectively.
