Husam Al Kurdi has resigned as Deputy CEO of SquaredFinancial Group after two years and five months in the role to focus on his own business. The multi-regulated brokerage company announced the departure of the leader in a press release.
With the resignation, Al Kurdi also stepped down as CEO of SquaredFinancial EU, a Cyprus-based position he has held since November 2019, according to his LinkedIn profile. However, the top executive will remain with the brokerage as an advisor and collaborator, SquaredFinancial said.

In the statement, SquaredFinancial noted that founder Phillipe Ghanem, who has served as chairman of the brokerage group since April 2020, has taken over management of the business.
“Husam was and always will be a major asset to SquaredFinancial,” Ghanem said. “His effort, expertise and professionalism have added value and growth to our business. My relationship with him transcends business.”
Speaking on his exit, Al Kurdi noted that he was pursuing his own dream and business. He thanked Ghanem for the opportunity to “do what I loved the most”.
“What SquaredFinancial and I have is a true partnership,” Al Kurdi said. “Over the past few years, we have accomplished a lot together; and I can only wish this family every success in all its endeavours.”
