The Polkastarter V2 update launched earlier this week on October 4th, bringing with it a host of new changes and improvements to benefit the broader Polkadot community.
The platform connects small projects with early community members through initial decentralized offerings (IDOs), creating a fair and accessible token-based environment for both developers to raise capital and community members to invest in ideas they find worthwhile.
What’s in the Polkastarter V2?
According to the release shared with CryptoSlate, the Polkastarter V2 update begins with a dashboard overhaul: creating an elegant and visually appealing user interface that allows users to check all their holdings/allocations at a glance.
Next comes Project Pages or a section that lists all upcoming projects, their codes, founders, and expected roadmaps in a way that is easy to discover for all users.
The site will additionally have a “whitelist” page, allowing users to whitelist themselves directly across the site rather than having to go through a large number of steps on external platforms.
Far from design changes, staking and IDO are used. Staking increases the usefulness of POLS tokens by allowing users to lock their tokens and earn revenue from doing so. The new staking feature will initially be available on Ethereum and BSC and will enable holders to share their coins on the chain.
More than $11 million has already been accumulated since Monday morning, consisting of 6.25 million POLS (which means 7.68% of traded POLS).
IDO cultivation (not live as of October 6th) is a new idea. This would allow users to participate in their IDO coins to get the payoff instead of having to withdraw the tokens right away – helping to create an easier path toward cropping and IDO benefit.
Meanwhile, more blockchain support is coming to the Polkastarter ecosystem. It currently supports Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, and Polkadot, but is looking to expand this to integrate more blockchain projects.
