According to a press release shared with U.Today, the Kauai Islands, a GameFi environment, has completed a private funding round.

A total of $2,400,000 has been raised from a range of notable investment funds, including DFG, JSquare, AU21, Rikkei Capital, SL2, Chainboost, Polygon, OKEx Blockdream Ventures, KardiaChain, Polkastarter, etc.
The tour was led by MapleBlock Capital and Signum. Vijay Garg, CEO of Mapleblock Capital, confirmed that investors were impressed by the project’s vision and the expertise of his team:
The Kauai Islands feature powerful design elements and fun mechanics inherited from the previous game series. AI-powered verification of on-chain game NFTs will open a deeper layer of engagement than traditional games.
An alpha version of Kauai will be released as soon as this month. The inaugural editions will boast basic in-game functionality so GameFi fans can test their strategies.

The Kauai Islands are among the first “Play-to-Earn” animation models to integrate in-series and off-series activities.
