While Pepe the frog and Doge has made it into the spotlight with unique and rare non-fungible (NFT) token assets, another NFT meme set linked to the popular 2010 meme “Wojak” has entered the fray. A new NFT popup from web portal rarewojak.com has taken advantage of the infamous old school meme to release a collection of Rare Wojak NFTs via Solana Network.
Meet the Rare Wojak NFT Collection
Wojak is an 11-year-old meme that appeared on the now-defunct Krautchan photo board, and after the photo went viral, it can be seen regularly on sites like 4chan. Wojak has a number of variants. The meme is also known as “Feels Guy” as people used to comment “I know that bro” after the meme was posted. One notable Wojak figure is “NPC Wojak,” which has become a viral visual interpretation for individuals who can’t think for themselves. Besides “NPC Wojak”, there are also “Coomer”, “Doomer” and “Soyjak”.
Just like Doge and Pepe the frog, Wojak is a popular meme among crypto proponents and variants of Wojak are shared regularly. For example, there is a meme that Wojak loses all his money investing in crypto assets and getting the “feel” from working at McDonald’s after the crypto market is flooded. In this specific meme, Wojak wears a McDonald’s outfit and hat, his gray skin features a cipher symbol tattoo on his arm, and he’s crying because he’s back at work at the fast-food chain restaurant.
