Fiona Richards Joins PrimaryBid as Chief Operating Officer
PrimaryBid has appointed Fiona
Richards as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). She brings over 25 years of
financial markets experience gained from the largest investment banking brands
around the world.
Before PrimaryBid, Richards also served Rowan Dartington as the COO. Her career in finance began in 1997, when she joined
Accenture, and then moved to UBS. Following that, she functioned at HSBC and
Deutsche Bank where she first proved herself in the role of Chief Operating Officer in
2017-2018.

BMLL Ads Jenny Chen as Head of Sales in Americas to Push Expansion
BMLL has appointed Jenny Chen as
Head of Sales in the Americas. The announcement follows Rob Laible who was recruited last week as the Head of Americas, showing BMLL’s focus on expansion in the
United States.
Chen has
more than 20 years of market experience, having previously worked as an analyst
in the Global Portfolio Trading department at UBS.

FXCM CIO, Ryan Leonard, Departs After 18 Years
Ryan Leonard
has left FXCM after almost 18 years as its Chief
Information Officer to start independent consulting in the IT and Information
Security businesses.
Leonard
admits that his true professional career started at FXCM in
2005 when he joined the retail trading broker. Before that, he served as a network engineer, system administrator and
programmer at smaller companies.

Citi Promotes Joe Bond to SVP of FX Sales for UK and Jersey
Citigroup has promoted Joe Bond to the position of Senior Vice President of FX Sales for the UK and Jersey. Bond has been steering Citi’s forex sales team for both jurisdictions since April 2021.
The executive joined Citi in July 2015 as the Assistant Vice President of FX Sales. During the course of his experience at Citi, Bond served as the Vice President of Forex Advisory, Sales and Execution.

ClearBank Names Mark Fairless as New CFO
ClearBank Ltd has named Mark Fairless as the new CFO in its drive for growth, effective from January 2023, which is subject to regulatory approval.
Recently shared in a press release with Finance Magnates, Mark Fairless has been appointed by ClearBank as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Fairless will reinforce the bank’s accelerated expansion in the UK, Europe and internationally. Additionally, he will sit on the financial institution’s UK Board and Executive Committee.

Omar Khaled Leaves Amana to Join Multibank Group
Omar Khaled has left Amana after a decade to join rival MultiBank Group as the Marketing Director in the new Dubai Headquarters, which the Group moved to last November.
Khaled first joined Amana’s Lebanon office as a Marketing Manager in August 2012 and moved to its Dubai offices in December 2021 with a promotion to Marketing Director.

ASIC Commissioner Sean Hughes Resigns to Join Vanguard
Sean Hughes has resigned from his post as the Commissioner of ASIC and will end his term on 3 February. He will join Vanguard Australia as the General Counsel.
Hughes joined the Aussie financial market watchdog as a Commissioner in late 2018 for a five-year term. He is stepping down ten months before his contract ends on 3 December 2023.

Intertrader has added the title of Head of Public Affairs to the job description of Louisa Plaice who has been its Head of Marketing since January last year.
Plaice announced her expanded role on Monday through LinkedIn. However, her profile on the professional networking platform shows that she took on the responsibilities of the dual role as the Head of Marketing & Public Affairs in December 2022.
The executive, who boasts 15 years of marketing experience, joined Intertrader in July 2019 as an Event Manager.

StoneX Hires SWIFT’s Edward Phelps as Head of Sales Strategy
StoneX Global Payments has hired Edward Phelps as its Head of Sales Strategy. Phelps, who served SWIFT for over five and a half years, announced his new role on Friday.
Phelps brings about a decade of experience to the role. His appointment comes less than a month after Cboe Global Markets appointed Vikesh Patel to the role of President at Cboe Clear Europe.

Kraken has onboarded Samia Bayou as its new Head of Prime Finance and OTC Sales for the EMEA.
Bayou announced her appointment through LinkedIn on Friday. However, her LinkedIn profile shows she assumed the role in December last year. Bayou left her role at BlockFi in September last year after one year and five months.

Rostro Financials Group has named John Murphy as the new Chief Revenue Officer of Scope Markets. Murphy disclosed his appointment on Friday through LinkedIn.
The executive has worked in senior roles for top forex and CFD brokers, such as OANDA, Alpari (UK) Limited and FXCM.
Murphy’s appointment arrives a few days after Rostro’s announced that it has completed the acquisition and taken full control of forex and CFD broker Scope Markets.
