EthCC6 returns, Ethereum community gathers for crucial post-Shanghai and pre-MiCa landscape discussion

Paris is gathering Ethereum thought leaders following the recent successful execution of the Shanghai upgrade and the upcoming danksharding upgrade in the fall that will boost Ethereum’s scalability.

PARIS, France – July 2023 – EthCC (Ethereum Community Conference)Europe’s largest annual Ethereum conference created for the community, by the community, will return for EthCC(6) July 17-20, 2023 in Paris, France, and bring together the best minds of Ethereum to share their vision for the future of the ecosystem.

Crypto has proven its resilience through the bear market. Developments in blockchain technology, advancements in the crypto regulatory landscape, and lack of advancements in knowledge that bolster Ethereum’s security continue to attract mainstream interest and investment with an upturn in commercial activity in the first quarter of 2023, with 439 transactions concluded compared to 366 in the fourth quarter of 2022.

For the Ethereum community, 2023 continues to be a big year with the recent successful execution of the Shanghai upgrade and the upcoming Danksharding upgrade in the fall which will increase the scalability of Ethereum. As the ecosystem moves through these milestones, builders are looking to the next wave of blockchain technology that will go beyond DeFi and into new areas including scalability, social good, AI, confidentiality and governance.

The ETHCC(6) will bring together more than 350 speakers from around the world with various conferences, workshops and side events with the aim of sharing and imparting knowledge to develop a positive and abundant Ethereum ecosystem.

Keynote speakers include Tim Beiko, Protocol Support at the Ethereum Foundation; Xin Wan, researcher at Uniswap Labs, an automated trading and liquidity protocol on Ethereum; Sid Shekhar, Blockchain Researcher at Coinbase, one of the top crypto exchanges in the world; and Patrick Hansen, director of strategy and EU policy at Circle, a global internet finance company based on blockchain technology and powered by crypto assets.

EthCC(6) will also offer approved startups the opportunity to pitch to top VCs such as HashKey, BPI France and Accel through the EthVC program.
