Deutsche Boerse, one of the leading global market infrastructure providers, announced today that the group plans to launch a next-generation, post-trade digital platform.
The new regulatory-compliant platform, dubbed “D7,” will allow end-to-end processing of digital securities. According to Deutsche Börse, the new D7 cloud-powered platform equipped with DLT technology will enable market participants to digitize their financial products.
For the launch, Deutsche Börse teamed up with several leading German and international financial firms to create a market-ready digital infrastructure. Launch partners include BNP Paribas, Citi, DekaBank, Deutsche Bank, dwpbank, DZ Bank, Goldman Sachs, Raiffeisen Bank International and Vontobel.
Commenting on the latest announcement, Stefan Leitner, Deutsche Börse Executive Board Member responsible for pre- and post-trading, said: “With D7, we are providing the financial community with the next generation of post-trade digital securities with a platform to unlock the potential of truly digital and decentralized finance. Just to digitize individual operations; it is time to completely reinvent the post-trading for a stronger, more sustainable and digital future for stock markets.”

D7 . platform
The newly introduced platform will facilitate users with same-day issuance and automated paperless direct processing of the entire value chain of issuance, custody, settlement, payment and asset servicing of digital securities. Deutsche Boerse reports that D7 will complement the “7 Market Technology” infrastructure suite the group has built.

In its latest financial results, Deutsche Börse posted a strong jump in total revenue due to increased demand for its financial products.
