Brokerage firm CMC Markets has reappointed Alicia Tan as Head of Marketing for the Asia Pacific and Canada region. She actually joined the brokerage firm at the end of last month which is based in Sydney, Australia.
“Wow what a hiccup! I am excited to announce my return to CMC Markets APAC & Canada and to head up an amazing regional marketing team,” Tan wrote in a Linkedin post. “It’s only day three and I’ve been really blown away by the fantastic work the team is doing, and I can’t wait to get commented!”
This is her second tenure with forex and CFD brokerage as she previously spent nearly five years with the company in various marketing roles. After that, she joined the broker’s office in Sydney as a Marketing Executive at Stockbroking and rose through the ranks to sign up as Senior Marketing Manager, APAC & CA in May 2019.
She joined CMC Markets recently after spending over a year in food technology platform Foodbomb as Senior Marketing Manager.

Tan is a Business Administration graduate majoring in Marketing from the University of Technology, Sydney. She began her marketing career with Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand, where she spent nearly four years with the organization.
Targeting the Asia Pacific region
CMC is headquartered and listed in London, with a significant presence in the Asia Pacific region. Earlier this year, the broker signed a sponsorship deal with New Zealand’s professional Rugby Union team, The Blues for the 2021 and 2022 Sky Super Rugby seasons to boost brand recognition in the region.
