Grace, a robotic nurse assistant for elderly care, will be expanded with the help of Cardano
The Cardano blockchain has been chosen to power the artificial intelligence (AI) modules of a humanoid robot called Grace.
Grace, who is fluent in English and Korean, was designed by Awakening Health and SingularityNET. It can be applied commercially in both hospice care and general healthcare. Given that the elderly care robotics industry has seen a huge boost due to the pandemic, demand is not an issue.
Equipped with powerful artificial intelligence, Grace is able to simulate 48 muscles in the face, allowing her to conduct meaningful social interactions with patients.
Cardano integration will greatly improve the performance of the bot, which means that it will take less time to process vital data.
Furthermore, it will make Cardano more secure and private in order to protect medical records, according to SingularityNET CEO Ben Goertzel:
In applications like this, the bot needs to deal with medical records that are on the back end, and it needs to handle potentially confidential information that elderly people and medical patients can give it to on the back end… and that really benefits the security of the Cardano platform.
At the 2021 Cardano Summit, Goertzel explained that the perks allowed by the smart contract platform Plutos would allow his company to do “a lot of interesting things” that weren’t possible due to Solidity’s limitations.
As reported by U.Today, the AI pioneer recently described Cardano as “absolutely superior.”
Last September, SingularityNET announced that it would be the first major Ethereum-based project to migrate at least partly the pilot blockchain to proof-of-stake.
Görtzel said they were “not too far away” from launching AGIX tokens on the Cardano mainnet as it appeared at the top.
