Bitstamp is ending its services in Canada in January 2024. The company has not given a specific reason for exiting the Canadian market, following similar actions by Binance and Bybit earlier this year. Bitstamp said that customers would be able to withdraw their funds until January 8, 2024, and would need to deactivate their Bitstamp accounts thereafter. The Canadian Securities Administrators recently guided stablecoins and investor limits, with exchanges required to register with them and fulfill pre-registration requirements.
