Sky Mavis, the studio behind the popular NFT token game Axie Infinity, has announced a new round of funding for the company.
In a statement Tuesday, Sky Mavis announced that it has closed a $152 million Series B funding round.
According to the announcement, prominent crypto and blockchain investors such as global exchange giant FTX and venture capital fund Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) participated in the investment round.
The maker of Axie Infinity said it would use the money to “create economic and financial freedom for players.”
Sky Mavis also has plans to make major upgrades to its gaming platform and release a decentralized exchange system based on Ronin.
